第三次作業(yè)

There is no denying that “ahead” is a common word, but I always can’t apply it very easily. I understood it in the dictionary and there were a great many meanings. After I compared some example sentences, I’m sure that “in front” is the word’s real meaning. Meanwhile, I learned it “ahead” is viewed as “before”. For instance, she has a difficult time ahead of her.In fact, I learned it but always can’t remember clearly and use it freely because I just understand the literally meaning when to read. Once writing, it seems too difficult for me as I want to write but not sure the place it should be put. So I hope to have a deep impression through describing it in my composition.

There was a question puzzling me. Why response to interrogative sentence by using adverb. What’s more “not” is an adverb. It seems to connect to grammar, and who can tell me why? Then I suddenly realized that author like to write some long sentences. We can see that a lot of prepositions present in the article either.

As to phrase, it made me more mournful. In the opening of the seventh paragraph, there was a time phrase “in study after study”. I knew what it wants to say, but it used so strange. Perhaps “study after study” is a phrase, “in” just expressing “during”.
